Goal: Develop a brand identity system for Little Bee’s Breads + Threads so that the owner can feel confident launching her small business in the upcoming months. Little Bee’s will be selling homemade breads and hand sewn items, likely including items created with denim.

Work Completed:

• Created a primary logo that could be easily converted into a secondary logo, and broken down to a lettermark and mascot

• Breakdown: the bee is made up of a loaf of bread, where the score lines, once baked, would also resemble bee stripes. The wings form a script “lb,” while also looking like a piece of thread laid looping on a table. The slightly imperfect lines and rounded corners give off a soft, welcoming vibe, showing that, like the products being sold, the branding was crafted by hand and with intention.

• Color themes: denim, bees, golden bread crusts, flour, some neutrals contrasted with pops of color to stand out against other booths at markets

• Created mockups and printed unofficial business cards, stickers, and shirts to give a clear visual of what the brand could look like in real life - off the screen
