  • Project 1: Geo Rutherford Art Branding

    Spring 2024

    Goal: Develop personal branding for artist and educator, Geo Rutherford, that can be a representative umbrella brand for all of Geo's endeavors, including, but not limited to, her artwork, TikTok content, soon to be published Spooky Lakes written and illustrated book, and Spooky Lake Month merchandise.

    Geo's primary work is focused on educating all ages about haunted hydrology. Ghosts are heavily featured, as is the top half of her head in every TikTok she posts.

    Geo is also an incredible artist and it's been a pleasure collaborating with her over the past few years. The pattern for the branding pictured above is an illustrated version of some of her Spooky Lake book paintings.

    Work Completed:

    β€’ Created primary, secondary, lettermark, and mascot logos for Geo Rutherford Art

    β€’ Created a Spooky Lakes logo to be used to separate that sub-brand, but still be aligned with the overall brand by allowing the ghost to be its own mascot

    β€’ Created an illustrated version of a pattern built from Geo's paintings
